b) Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi mahasiswa Universitas Gunadarma dalam memilih merk sepeda motor matic.
c) Penelitian dibatasi pada sepeda motor matic merk Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki.
d) Menyebarkan kuesioner yang berlokasi di parkiran sepeda motor mahasiswa kampus D Universitas Gunadarma, Depok.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut.
a) Mengetahui faktor apa saja yang dianggap penting oleh konsumen untuk dipertimbangkan dalam memilih merk sepeda motor matic.
b) Mengetahui korelasi antara faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi konsumen dalam menentukan pilihan merk sepeda motor matic.
c) Mengetahui karakteristik responden yaitu mahasiswa Universitas Gunadarma.

1.4 Metode Penelitian

Metodologi penelitian merupakan proses yang harus dilakukan secara bertahap. Setiap tahapan penelitian harus dilakukan secara rinci dan jelas sehingga penelitian memiliki arah yang jelas, bersifat sistematis, logis, dan empiris yaitu dapat diuji kebenarannya. Penelitian diharapkan dapat memecahkan masalah yang ada, bersifat aplikatif sehingga dapat dicapai hasil penelitian yang dapat dipercaya dan dapat diterapkan. Berikut ini adalah tahapan-tahapan metode penelitian.

1.4.1 Objek Penelitian

Dalam penelitian ilmiah ini penulis menyebarkan kuesioner untuk pengambilan data secara langsung di tempat penelitian yang berlokasi di Kampus D Universitas Gunadarma, jl. Margonda Raya no.100, Depok.
